Kindisch welcome El Mundo & Zazou for the latest edition of ‘Kindish Stories’ with a fresh series of remixes that show off their broad skills. They made a big impression with their excellent ‘Can You See What I See’ track as part of the Words Don’t Come Easy compilation on Get Physical last year. Following a re-release of the single with new remixes, they now come on strong on Kindisch with new and fantastic original versions of tracks by Art of Life, Feathered Sun, Lunar Disco and many more.

The pair kick off with their own ambient sci fi opener ‘Intro’ then serve up an epic slow motion deep house adventure with their loose and organic remix of ‘He Is Behind Your Eyes.’ The gorgeously deep and soulful grooves stay through the languid ‘Get On’ remix and their standout take on ‘Revenge Of The Wankers’ is a chugging, hypnotic affair with a mesmerising lead synth line.

The second half of the terrific musical trip features more spine-tingling deep house with tropical jungle overtones, sparse and absorbing late night grooves as with their remix of Amir Telem’s ‘Words from the Spiritual World’, featured here today, and ‘Effigy’, with uplifting, synth-lead classiness on a closing remix of ‘Alexithymia’. This is a warm, cathartic listen that takes you deep into El Mundo & Zazou’s emotional world of self-reflection and melancholia in real style.

Im Track Asura haben Elias Dore & Acado das Instrument mit dem gemächlichen Stampfen und den verträumten Eskalationen elektronischer l(langerzeugung kombiniert. Der Remix von Mollono.Bass geht etwas mehr nach vorne, lässt dabei aber ganz viel Raum für die meditativen Frequenzen der Handpan. Und KlangDruide interpretiert den Titel in Form einer entrückten Zeitlupenaufnahme. Der zweite Track Wadeeh basiert auf einer tiefgründigen Melodiestruktur und kommt mit ordentlich Schwung und dem einen oder anderen Spitzenzeit-Merkmal daher. Im Remix von lnnacircle verwandelt sich dieser Titel in eine psychedelische Abfahrt mit tribalistischen Trommeleinlagen.

worries, that re-establish our inner balance in an instant. The handpan is wonderful example. In their track Asura, Elias Dore & Acado combine the instrument with the slow stomp and dreamy escalations of a synthesized electronic groove. The remix of Mollono.Bass has a bit more forward thrust, while keeping a lot of audio space for the meditative frequencies of the handpan to unfold. And l(langDruide interprets the title in the form of an enraptured slow motion recording. The second track Wadeeh is built upon a deep melodic structure and has a lot of momentum and many characteristics of a peak time tune. The remix of lnnacircle turns this into a psychedelic departure

“Nōpi is a newborn producer project from Ukrania. Established in early 2019, Nōpi was able to score releases on significant labels and his continuous flow of giveaways has quickly gained him some recognition. We are happy to help the young talent on his rise to the top and showcase 2 groovy, melodic house tracks, supported by our dreamy family-members Yoni Yarchi and Daniel van der Zwaag.

Daynight is able to deliver a bouncy and energetic baseline groove, further enforced with tight shakers and warm percussions. Gentle piano chords and soothing vocals are layered upon the bases and build a coherent atmosphere, that is characterized by subtle textures and smartly placed pad-sweeps.

With peculiar tension, main title track “The Forest” opens up its intro. A collaborating space of fieldrecordings set the mood of this song, while patient piano melodies and a warm, low-end bassline push the production forward. Subtle chants and an array of pads, create a haunting atmosphere – An adventure of mystical soundscapes, that is reshaped by our NWS-dreamers Yoni Yarchi and Daniel van der Zwaag.

Yoni’s remix immediately takes a brighter and life-affirming turn, by implementing an uprising & warm bassline, energetic percussions and a flourishing synth, that is playful and charming. Elevating pads and charismatic textures, give Yoni’s take and innocent feel in the most positive way.

A beafy low-end and hypnotic rhythmics are the foundation of Daniel van der Zwaag’s deeper approach. The symbiosis of the lonely piano with wide and open soundscapes, create the atmosphere of a lonely walk in the woods. The complementing layers of a pushing groove and an intimate top create an interesting feel, that keeps up the mystery of the original, fortifies it and reflects the story of a forsaken place.

Bunte Kuh is back with a brilliant remix package that finds some on point names add their own spin to Roman Blum’s Menekeita. First up is Amount, who goes for a zoned out and dreamy deep house remix characterised by a hook lead synth that’s buried deep beneath smeared sci fi fads. Debal Sommer then goes for a more rugged and dark track with phased bass and corrugated hooks that rumble over the drums. A break down brings an epic lead synth to the fore and from there you’re carried off into the cosmos. Last of all, Foolik offers a spritely version with deep drums and excellent synth work that is full of soul and steps you up for a great ride. This is a standout package that offers three varied and vital cuts.
