After rain comes sun. Or does it?

The pouring has stopped, but the world remains wet. Only different shades of grey and white linger around where you’d wish for a blue sky and rays of warming sunlight. Stiff breezes complete the picture and so you turn away from the window and just close your eyes.

After exercising your imagination muscles for the past months, nothing easier than to fancy yourself relaxing in that comfy hammock on that beautiful beach. No plastic bags or bottles in sight. The only dolphins are the ones having fun off the coast. The heat is moderate and from a tiny shack just a stone’s throw away from your meditative shady place some soothing summer sounds complete the picture.

But wait, this can’t be the local island radio, you know their sound and it would come close to a revolution if they’d play something different than these same old steel-drum-elevator-jams. Well, darn it! This means you have to leave your coziness and go look who’s pumpin’ these grooves out into the bay. As you come closer you realise, there’s a little daytime dance going on and it’s actually enelRAM on the decks.
Her selection gets you moving immediately and there’s only one thought behind your dusky eyes:

“Why can’t this be real?”

No worries. It can be.
We just have to collaborate.
Tomorrow is possible.

Belgian disco savants Rheinzand return with the second in a triptych of remix EPs. This one follows Obey Remixes, which came out Nov 6.

Kills & Kisses, the original track, comes off Rheinzand’s 2019 self-titled album and has been out as a single as well. The track was one of the more propulsive on the album with an almost micro-house sounding groove, driving down low, blossoming up top.

This bundle of remixes flow from that vein, expanding on the house angle of Rheinzand’s sound through the work of three fantastic artists.

Sicilian Musumeci aka Mauro di Martino tidies up the track and grooms that sweet, dreamy essence of the original into a timeless dance tune.

The Tel Aviv duo Red Axes’ deliver a more visceral take, stoking the bodily fires with deep, punchy bass and sharp staccato.

And last but not least, English-Japanese group Skylab deconstruct and almost perversely (in a good way) re-intensify the source material on a mesmeric trip to the chthonic planes of dance music.

The track also features as a special dub mix and instrumental version.

ꆛ The city is not a concrete jungle, it is a human zoo ꆜ

Finally! The heatwave caught up with us.
The streets are turning into quicksand, the minds melt away like mango sorbet and even the fastest sound don’t seem to catch up with each other. Or is that because Fog Puma just happens make them stick?

Anyway, we’re massively happy to welcome this colorful individual and acclaimed sonar traveller into our execution of a mile high club.
Besides running his cozy book and vinyl shop Zabriskie (https://zabriskie.de/) the foggy mixing-virtuoso is also hosting the Mystic Moods parties at Klunkerkranich.
For Flight Club número doce he whipped up an especially summerly array of obscure, tropical, dreamy(, and some other adjectives that got stuck in the tarpit outside) discs into a super delicious tape.
