Music For Dreams present Carrusel De Sentimientos, the second album by Ibiza-based artist Be.lanuit.

A foreword from the artist:

A carousel symbolizes childhood, joy and innocence. It also symbolizes the cyclical nature of life and the inevitable passing of time. In the moment I find myself, these swings of nostalgia for my childhood are to be expected.

Of these nostalgic moments, one of the clearest images is of the annual festivals in my hometown where I spent hours on the merry-go-round that was installed outside the door of my grandparents’ house. The workers at the merry-go-round connected everything to the sockets in my grandparents’ house. In exchange, I could enjoy it without limit.

I loved riding each of its elements (horses, cars, elephants etc.) and in each of them I imagined many stories. These memories have been the inspiration for this second album, with which I reinterpret the different feelings that have awakened in me in the form of music.

From these emotions of longing comes this album with the title Carrusel De Sentimientos.

To capture all this I have counted on a lot of talents without which this album would not have been possible. Some of them were already present in the first album, such as Melón Jiménez, Santino Surfers, Tupac Peralta, Olio, The Swan And The Lake… and new collaborations such as Romana Alarcón, Marta Chandra, Akinsola, Andrea Kamenar, Cecilia Abularach and Russ Farelo.

As always, thanks to Kenneth Bager and Jon Tattersall for believing in me and giving me all the support and empowerment, to AnnaLea for her hospitality and wholehearted support, to Anders Ponsaing for his hospitality, all the engineering, mixing and post production work and of course, to the entire MFD family for everything we lived together and I learn from them.

To my parents and my sister as always for believing in me and lastly, to my sun and moon Russ Farelo for always being by my side. You and I until the end!

The echoes of the synth move like sun rays among the dancing motes of dust over a dance floor. The bass is flexing with the botanic elasticity of a tall tree in the wind. Yet the shadows of this summer soundscape reach deep. There’s something lurking from the sharp edges of the sawtooth acid line that is digging into the groove with a pleasant punch to it. There’s something at the bottom of the simple, trancy melody. It finds full expression in the vocal… With The Devil In Us, Mollono.Bass integrates contradictory moods into a smooth groove. It’s a track that is as intriguingly kicking and hypnotic during the dark hours of a party as it is during the day.

Listening to @martinwaslewski is like a journey where the boundaries of electronic music blur: with groovy tracks, between house and melodic techno, he tells musical stories without saying a word too much and thus always and immediately hits the nerve of the crowd in his sets. To the point! Martin discovered his love for electronic music in 2010 after growing up in hip hop. And so he is now home to labels such as Bar 25, Get Physical, Stil vor Talent, Monaberry, Exploited Ghetto & Hommage. But he’s no stranger to the international scene either – from New York, Bogota and Ibiza to the Amsterdam Dance Event and Sonar Festival in Barcelona – he’s been able to make a lot of people happy with his music.

The final breakthrough for the idea of the remix came to me during my vacation in Italy. I was in Pittelli, near La Spezia. After a day on the beach and two or three Aperol Spritz I sat on our terrace in the vacation home and had the brilliant idea.

We meet with unusual events this year, be it a haze in winter, or more like a late snowfall in spring. We are so happy to host our next mixtape by our dear friend Mattmosphere.

In the past we know Matt for his special sound and way of playing music. Based mainly on ambient and experimental atmospheres. Today he has given us an extraordinary set that represents the sound that is usually directed towards clubs and dancefloors, perhaps as a celebration of having them back after a long wait. Us being big fans of minimal and house, could not feel a better fit.

Many thanks to Matt for this wonder, and welcome to our family.
