Nation of Gondwana 2023 – Opening Wiese Floor

When we heard that we were to play the opening set on Wiese main floor at Nation of Gondwana 2023 (the 29th issue of this mainstay of Open Air culture, btw) we were unsure what to make of it. Surprisingly it worked out quite well. Hugz to our steadfast fanbase still turning up in numbers after 22 years! More thanks the red hot ´n hungry festival crowd who made it such a blast and the marvellous NoG Team still making it happen. Punks not dead! [deep Kotau]

Carhartt WIP Radio August 2023: Keinemusik

For August 2023, Carhartt WIP Radio welcomes @keinemusik, a Berlin-based collective and record label composed of producers/DJs @rampa, @andmeandyou, @adam-port, Reznik, and visual artist Monja Gentschow.

Although Keinemusik’s members bonded over a shared love of music and the Berlin club scene, its name, paradoxically, means “no music” in German.

Since its origins in 2009, Keinemusik has amassed a devoted following among local and international audiences alike, playing everywhere from Circoloco in Ibiza to Elsewhere in New York City.

In 2017, the group released its debut album “You Are Safe”. The collective gained further acclaim in 2022, after &ME and Rampa earned production credits on Drake’s 11th studio album “Honestly, Nevermind”.

For this month’s show, the group has put together a mix featuring tracks and remixes exclusively by Keinemusik artists, sprawling minimal techno, Balearic, and house. As ever, the mix is accompanied by an interview, where the Keinemusik crew discusses their origin, work ethic, future projects and more. Read the words at https://ift.tt/UHsWL4x

tracklist:
1. Keinemusik – You Are Safe
2. Rampa – Les Gout feat. Chuala
3. Keinemusk – Confusion feat. Ali Love
4. Keinemusik – Muyè

Amis I [TOR043]
Curated by Wassu
Release Date – 07.28.2023

Producers are the backbone of any label; developing supportive and genuine relationships with our artists is the core principle of TOR’s development. Our ‘Amis’ series is an ode to the figures that we feel are at the foundation of the label’s journey thus far.

To kick off the Amis series on TOR, there was truly only one man for the job. Wassu will always hold a special mantle at the TOR imprint, as the man who inaugurated the label with his Andu EP in 2020. Since then, the New Yorker has turned heads with a string of prolific releases on the likes of Anjunadeep, All Day I Dream, and When We Dip XYZ. With each passing project, Wassu’s mastery of warm melodies and boastful basslines deepens, showcasing the ever-evolving sound of the wizardly Wassu.

It’s safe to say that Wassu has outdone himself on this one, welcoming a widespread community of producers into the fold. He grabbed the baton & ran with it, sourcing a bounty of material for the debut of Amis. More than anything, this collection of music represents the fact that Wassu is a man of the people; one of the most important characters in the deep & melodic scene. He brings together artists from all corners for our debut Amis project – longtime collaborators, new faces, inspirational acts, studio partners, and burgeoning partnerships all align on Wassu’s Amis.
