After a great start to the new decade, @heinzmusic-berlin welcomes back head of the famous label Katermukke, mr. @dirtydoering himself. Between his tours to all the corners of the world, he finds some time to hit the studio and create his characteristic gems.

Which brings us to the track “Dreamlines”. Smooth lines of synths caress the grooving body. It is dreamy and sexy at the same time, with playful elements appearing and disappearing around the vibrating main synths, working its way towards the massive break moment. No doubt this will be one of the biggest tunes on the dance floor this year.

„Alle Tanzen“ das ist das Motto der Brüder Tober & Tober aus Hannover. Simon und Marvin sind nun schon seit mehr als 5 Jahren als Gebrüder-Duo hinter dem DJ-Pult unterwegs. Mit ihrer Party-Reihe „Alle Tanzen“ mischen sie Hildesheim elektronisch ganz schön auf. Musikalisch kann man die Beiden auf jeden Fall nicht in eine Schublade stecken. Mal sind es die ruhigen Downtempo Töne wie beim Podcast für Afterhour Sounds und dann auch mal schön verspulter Techno. Für mich haben sie sich entschieden eine techige, stimmenlastige und extrem groovige Stunde zu kreieren.

The first „Four To The Floor“ of the new decade is on the horizon.
FTTF Edition 17 starts with the track “Rotweinfleck” by Diynamic founder Solomun and it’s a dramatic dancefloor play. Excited percussions lead the way; then suddenly, the main piano theme strikes a chord, shy at first, but in an ever-growing crescendo, until it culminates and unloads its weight like thunder.
Next up is “You Must Understand”, a dark and dizzy grave wave influenced track by Atlanta-native Sejva that sounds like a sinister medieval ritual with monks chanting their hypnotic mantra to brand it into your mind.
Track no. 3 titled “exe.cute” by Marc DePulse is a futuristic melodic Techno tune with a dirty bassline, pairing space-age synthesizer sounds with retro guitar lick aesthetics.
And closing off, gizA djs return to FTTF with the 80s Italo Disco influenced, euphoric dancefloor anthem titled “Dolce”.

2020 marks the beginning of a new era for Upon You Records. Celebrating our 13th year in the business with a quite a few forthcoming specials over the course of the year as well reaching the magical mark of the 150 single release on the label it is about time for label founder, A&R and overall creative mastermind Marco Resmann to take over again with a stunning new four track single that’s about to define the label sound for the future. Here it is, the „Caelum EP”.

Setting off into the journey with „Lilium” we see Marco Resmann digging deep into raw, muscular and slightly Acid-influenced Tech territories backed by busy shakers and melodic, all embracing bass waves as a captivating foundation for beautifully intricate, crystalline melodic layers, complex, shrieking additional modulations as well as tender, Trance-resembling pads for an athmospheric addition.

Following up is „Lux”, a tune exploring the deeper side of Marco Resmann’s musical work, meandering in between tripping TechHouse and Intelligent Techno with its stripped down, yet distinct main motif, trembling low end warps able to shake up Drum’n’Bass floors even and overall hypnotic attitude best experienced in lightless, humungous underground venues for a reason.

With „Septem” the Berlin-based producer and label head is providing more of a muscular TechHouse stomp garnished by a short, ever looped sawtooth bass motif and more hovering, ethereal atmospheres which are about to turn the tiniest, most shy and sensitive fairy into a full time raver even before quirky bass warps, twisted rave signals and spaced out sweeps are unfolding to great effect on the dancefloor.

Finally the title track „Caelum” is bringing forth the most brooding, technoid vibe on this four tracker. Using and abusing short, razor sharp hi-hats, continuous low-end rolls and large scale space subs we see Marco Resmann at his very best in terms of shaping more heavenly atmospheres, gauzy string arrangements and jingly sonic cascades which just seem to have come down to earth from the
