Picked Sound: Laura Weider – Fusion 2019 – Closing Set (Panne Eichel / Bachstelzen)
Picked Sound: Robot Koch – Crystal Grid (Ryan Davis Reverie Edit)
My second work for Robot´s label is a remix for one of his own ‘Crystal Grid’
I chopped, reversed and pitched the original samples glueing them together again as a 3 part cinematic mini composition. Starting with ambiences and subtle rhythms that feel like you listen to your inner body while your journey goes further and turns your attention to your near surroundings as the piano and beats get more defined. The third act is opening up an ocean of sounds filling your mind from every source of sound you can absorb till the wave of excitement coincides back to your inner self.
The whole ep includes many more great takes on Robot´s music by Daniel Brandt, Chi Thanh and Jan Wagner and new material that hasnt made it onto his album.

Ole Biege & Martin Waslewski – Reilstreet
Frozen, isolated from the outer world. The only source of food from the old world was an old rusty transporter owned by a vietnamese guy from a restaurant called “The Golden Turtle”, parked in a frosty backyard.
From time to time some Silverheight Gray Seals came by on which Ole and Martin could warm themselves up a little bit. But the times were hard.
In a special moment after inhaling some expanding foam came the idea to just follow the Gray Seals through the door which was open the whole goddamn time.
3 years were gone, the freedom so near, but their brains were frozen.
But all in all this had one good thing…
In the shimmering light of their playstation 1, while playing some tekken, sitting at their tiletable, between tubing tobacco and coffee whitener, they had this awesome idea for an homage for that long time and that special street they were living on for so long, the Reilstreet!

Hörst ja immer nur so BummBumm, haben sie gesagt. Ich so: Nee,nee! – Schön ein bißchen älter, aber im Februar samt Remixe auf FILM erschienen und die 12″ schon wieder ausverkauft. Tickt und tackt und bringt den Nils Frahm gewissermaßen auf den Beat und die Wiese. Zum sonnigen FrühlingsOpenAir gehört eben auch ein bißchen Klavierhouse. Is halt so. Mögen sie nun schreien: zuviel BummBumm oder zuwenig BummBumm. Irgendwas is ja immer.
Ferdinand Dreyssig & Marvin Hey – Coeur De La Nuit (Remixe)
Dreyssig und Hey drehen am ganz großen Rad. Percussion-Elemente, Piano Samples und die Sahnehaube: Kinderchöre. Drunter gehts nicht mehr. Wir finden jedoch, es funktioniert. Somal die Originalnummer mit einer Prise Acid aufgemotzt wurde, dass man eigentlich nur noch wartet, dass irgendwo jemand seinen Kiefer malmt. Coeur De La Nuit ist Vanilleeis mit Pfeffer – es kickt und ist dennoch anders.
