Good morning and welcome back to our cocktail joint! Today we’re taking it a tip slower as musical poet arkadiusz. is honoring us with his Chelada – a Mexican drink based on beer and lime he learned to make, drink and love when he used to live in the latin american country.

akadiusz. is a versatile an electronic music enthusiast based in Spessart, Germany. He is the driving forve behind the globally respected mix and premiere channel “Afterhour Sounds” and is further part of collectives such as “Kollektive Liebe”, “Half Wild” and “Oewerall”.

His mixes are carefully crafted with a a unique track selection and a lot of love for details. arkadiusz.’ tales always contain exciting twists and susprises. You can tell he shares a great passion for music and in particular elecrtonic music, as his nusical repertoire seems to be endless: ranging from slow to fast, from new to classic and including tons of hidden gems!

Unsere Nr. 167 kommt dieses Mal von einem Herzensmenschen, denn ich vor knapp drei Jahren persönlich auf dem ehemaligen Uckeralm Festival kennen- und zu schätzen gelernt habe. Als weltoffener Mensch mit einer speziellen Verbindung zu den Skandinavischen Ländern, bereiste er auch für längere Zeit Teile Südamerikas. Seine Liebe zum Downtempo blieb stets gleich, erweiterte sich stilistisch aber mit dem Zeitgeist beider Kulturen. Ferne, Ruhe, Abenteuer…ja das passt.

Wir begrüßen in unserer kleinen, aber feinen Reihe den Freiburger DJ ‘THE LAST TWIN’ der einen großen Hang für ethnische und sehnsüchtige Melodien, sowie tiefe Bassdrums hat.

Eine hervorragende Hörprobe seines Könnens ist der für uns arrangierte Podcast. Die Aufnahme ist nämlich kaum an Schönheit zu überbieten. Neben einem sanften und überaus harmonischen Aufbau mit ganz viel Tiefgang, fließen die Übergänge nahezu nur so ineinander, dass man schnell vergisst einem Mix zu lauschen. Ab und dann könnte man auch meinem, dass es sich bei all der Harmonie nämlich um einen Never-Ending-Track handeln könnte. Sobald man die Augen schließt und den Klängen Lauscht, vergisst man ganz schnell den Alltag. Es entsteht ein Gefühl der puren Entspannung, welches Zeit und Raum auflöst.
Dazu besticht sein Set auch mit dem tollen Arrangement, in dem er das gewisse Feingefühl für Stimmungen und Dramatik zeigt. Egal wie man es wendet und dreht, die Aufnahme nimmt einen tatsächlich ohne Umwege auf eine intensive Reise ins Nirvana und zurück mit.

Wir sind selber komplett sprachlos von diesem besonderen, unerwarteten Geschenk, welches du uns gemacht hast Jakob.
Wir danken Dir vielmals für dieses besondere Set. Umwerfend, intensiv und überraschend gut. Wenn Traum, dann Hier. Chapeu.

Es war kurz nach dem Garbicz 2017 als ich bei SC über das erste Set vom Amount gestolpert bin. Angeworfen und sofort war mir klar … das geil. Als ich dann rausgefunden habe das Amount das Soukie zum Windish ist war mir alles klar. Seitdem verfolge ich das Projekt stetig. Zu meiner großen Freude macht Nayan in letzter Zeit auch mit Amount gerne Podcast und war sofort für unsere Reihe zu begeistern.

Über Nayan könnte ich jetzt noch viel schreiben … URSL, Soukie & Windish, WUZA … aber ich lass mal lieber die Musik sprechen … viel zu warm heute.

Es gibt Klänge, die sich wie ein Heilbalsam um unsere Denkstränge legen, die uns die Knoten aus dem Kopf kämmen und mit denen sich spontan ein inneres Gleichgewicht einstellt. Die Handpan ist ein wunderbares Beispiel dafür. Im Track Asura haben Elias Dore & Acado das Instrument mit dem gemächlichen Stampfen und den verträumten Eskalationen elektronischer l(langerzeugung kombiniert. Der Remix von Mollono.Bass geht etwas mehr nach vorne, lässt dabei aber ganz viel Raum für die meditativen Frequenzen der Handpan. Und KlangDruide interpretiert den Titel in Form einer entrückten Zeitlupenaufnahme. Der zweite Track Wadeeh basiert auf einer tiefgründigen Melodiestruktur und kommt mit ordentlich Schwung und dem einen oder anderen Spitzenzeit-Merkmal daher. Im Remix von lnnacircle verwandelt sich dieser Titel in eine psychedelische Abfahrt mit tribalistischen Trommeleinlagen.

worries, that re-establish our inner balance in an instant. The handpan is wonderful example. In their track Asura, Elias Dore & Acado combine the instrument with the slow stomp and dreamy escalations of a synthesized electronic groove. The remix of Mollono.Bass has a bit more forward thrust, while keeping a lot of audio space for the meditative frequencies of the handpan to unfold. And l(langDruide interprets the title in the form of an enraptured slow motion recording. The second track Wadeeh is built upon a deep melodic structure and has a lot of momentum and many characteristics of a peak time tune. The remix of lnnacircle turns this into a psychedelic departure
